"Source of funds" means where the money you spend on the investment and the application's costs came from. Credible citizenship programmes check this carefully, because it is the core of due diligence. An application where the money's origin is unclear is usually delayed or refused.
What the CBIU of Dominica asks for
The official list of Dominica's documents, checked on 24 October 2026, includes:
- colour copies of documents showing the source of the money
- an employment letter or financial statements
- twelve months of bank statements
- a bank reference letter
- a notarised sworn statement of source of funds
- a detailed career history or CV
Build a chain of documents
The best application tells the money's story from the beginning to today, with documents. A few examples:
- Earned income: an employment contract or employer's letter, payslips, tax returns and regular deposits in the bank statements.
- Business profits: company registration documents, your share of ownership, audited financial statements, and the minutes of the profit distribution with its deposit into your account.
- Sale of property or an asset: the earlier title deed, the sale contract, and the deposit of the sale proceeds into your account.
- Inheritance or a gift: the certificate of inheritance or the deed of gift, documents of the deceased's or donor's assets, and the deposit into your account.
- Earlier investments: brokerage statements and the profits or sale of securities.
Key points
- Every large transfer in the statements must have an explanation and a document.
- Amounts, dates and names must match across the documents.
- Documents not in English are translated, notarised and legalised.
- If the money came from several sources, document each one separately.
- If part of the assets is in a country with restrictions, for example for Iranian nationals in Dominica's programme, read that programme's special conditions in advance.
What causes trouble
- Cash with no banking trail
- Transfers from other people's accounts without an explanation and proof of the relationship
- Companies in which your share of ownership is unclear
- Inconsistencies between the CV, the company documents and the declared income
Paying the costs
At Royal Golden, payments are made in tether on the TRON network and only to the address shown in the payment request in the portal. The payment records stay in the portal, and an official invoice and receipt with a QR code are issued.
