Dubai and UAE visas

Tracking a Dubai visa application: what each status means

A Dubai visa application at Royal Golden passes through several statuses, from "Draft" to "Visa approved and issued", and each status says where the application is and whose turn it is. This guide sets out all the statuses in order, with the explanation the portal shows for each, so you know what is needed at every step.

When you look at an application's status, two questions matter: where is the application, and is anything needed from me? This guide gives each status with the explanation the visa section of the site shows for it. The texts were checked on 24 October 2026.

Your step: details and documents

  • Draft: enter the travellers' details and the trip, then go on to uploading the documents.
  • Awaiting documents: upload all the required documents and send the application for review.
  • Documents need correction: some documents must be replaced. See the notes and upload the right version.

Review by Royal Golden's specialists

  • Documents under review: our specialists are checking your documents. The application has not been sent to any official authority yet.
  • Documents approved: review the summary and read the terms so the price is locked and payment opens.

Payment

  • Awaiting payment: complete the payment so the application is ready for filing.
  • Payment confirmed: the application is being prepared for sending to the authorised broker.

Official filing

  • Ready for the broker: the application is ready and is being sent to the authorised broker; it is not yet registered with the official authority.
  • Sent to the authorised broker: waiting for confirmation of official registration.
  • Official registration confirmed: the application has been officially registered. The usual processing time starts from this moment.

With the official authority

  • Under immigration review: the application is being reviewed by the official authority.
  • Additional documents requested: further documents or information have been requested. Upload them as soon as possible to avoid delay.
  • Security check or administrative delay: the competent authority has announced a security check or an administrative delay. The time of the result cannot be set.

The result

  • Visa approved and issued: download the official file from the same page.
  • Visa refused: the official authority refused the application. Our specialists will contact you about the next steps and the finances.
  • Awaiting financial settlement or refund: the application's finances, including any refund, are being reviewed.
  • Cancelled or closed: the application is closed.

Why you see no countdown

The visa section of the site shows no countdown to issue, because issue depends on the official authority's decision. The processing time starts from the moment the documents are complete, the payment is confirmed and the application is actually registered through the official channel, and working days are counted on the UAE's calendar and public holidays.

Tips

  • Whenever you see "Documents need correction" or "Additional documents requested", act quickly; these two are the most common causes of delay.
  • After issue, check the visa details against your passport.

Decisions on issuing visas and on entry rest with the UAE authorities.
